City Bisco begins tonight! Listen to the winning mixes selected by the band
Jam scene heroes Disco Biscuits kick off their three-day City Bisco extravaganza tonight at The Trocadero, continuing tomorrow night at the Electric Factory with American Babies and ending Saturday at the Mann Center with disco legend Giorgio Moroder. Passes are sold-out, though the band just announced a live-stream of the events at the sold-out Trocadero show as well as the Electric Factory show. Earlier this week, we ran a giveaway for weekend passes to City Bisco. Listen to the grand prize mix below by Clint Meadows, as well as runners up who will all receive passes to Saturday night’s Mann Center show. Tickets for the Electric Factory and Mann Center shows are still available, tickets and more info can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
Grand Prize Winner Clint Meadows: “The Disco Biscuits have been a huge influence on my music. Here’s my Spotify mix that I would rock at a Bisco show! ”
Runner Up Michael Jones: “Here we go. Brownie, this one is for you. Truckers Choice.”
Runner Up Brett Fugitt: “Since City Bisco is in about 24 hours I assumed that the band wouldn’t have time to listen to full playlists so I decided to do a 3 minute DJ routine using 4 turntables and only vinyl. It’s all an improv set so it’s a little abstract but then again so are the Biscuits. Rest assured I can rock a party but this time around I decided to keep it weird & a little inverted just like the band. I like to think of this routine as one that would do well during set break when fans need a breather yet still want to be entertained. Peace and have a fun & safe City Bisco. Thanks, Brett”
Runner Up Jeremy Koven: “There’s my Spotify playlist for this contest. I started listening to The Disco Biscuits over 10 years ago and love their wide range of influences and collaborators. My list highlights some of my favorite artists they have shared the stage with. Have at it guys.”
Runner Up John Vantine: “Right at the 11th hour, here’s my mix. I feel the tracks on here represent all of the elements that make the Biscuits, and all of their events over the years, so awesome. I’ll be visiting from the West Coast for 2 weddings and would love to see some Biscuits while I’m in ‘The City’!”
