MegaRan and Mr. Miranda’s EP is out of this world

About a month ago Philly native Random, aka MegaRan, collaborated with a rapper from his current home base of Phoenix, Mr. Miranda, and the result is The Otherworld. Something about their chemistry gives you the same feeling you might have heard from North Carolina trio Little Brother a few years back. The music is totally different – keeping with Random’s style, it incorporates a lot of video game samples and chiptune dance beats – but the vibe feels the same, which is good for listeners. Random and Mr. Miranda did a fantastic combining their lyrical skills, creativity, and energy. Songs like “Lessons,” show that the two rappers are good at storytelling. “Ninja Guild” is a great example of their imaginative lyrics, and the energy is there throughout the EP, but especially on the song “Animal.” MegaRan  and Mr. Miranda make a great team and hopefully they plan on doing more collaborations like The Otherworld EP in the near future.
