Listen to a new song by The Districts, “4th and Roebling”
The Districts have announced the release of their debut full length album on Fat Possum Records on Febraury 10thm 2015, A Flourish And A Spoil, produced by John Congleton. The Districts have been a touring machine over the last years, including a recent show with Temples at Union Transfer, a set at this year’s XPoNential Music Festival, a secret basement show in North Philly, and a performance at WXPN’s Non-COMMvention last May.
Our love affair with band goes back to the Fall of 2012 when WXPN began playing songs from their self-released debut album, Telephone. The band played the XPOnential Music festival in July, 2013. They also did a Key Studio Session in October, 2012. You can listen to the session and download songs from it here. They are currently in the UK and France for some shows. If you’ve never seen The Districts, heed our advice and see them live.
About the new song, “4th and Robeling,” The Fader writes:
The Districts named their new single, “4th and Roebling,” after an intersection in Brooklyn. More specifically, it’s named after the first place they parked their car during their inaugural trip into New York to play a gig.
