Listen to Philly Local Pete Donnelly cover King Tuff’s “Eyes Of The Muse”
Singer, songwriter and guitarist and bassist Pete Donnelly has covered King Tuff’s “Eyes Of The Muse” as part of WXPN’s Philly Local 2014 Year In Review cover songs project. Donnelly is a founding member of The Figgs and an honorary member of NRBQ, and has performed with many musicians and bands including Tommy Stinson Graham Parker, and others. On any given night you might find him sitting in with Philly bands and he has been writing, performing, engineering and/or producing for a variety of artists, including John Legend, G. Love & Special Sauce, Amos Lee and Ben Arnold.
Donnelly has just released America Town, a rocking seven song collection of songs featuring Shelby Lynne on backing vocals on one song. Donnelly is a superb pop smith who has a love for super melodic pop and rock, so it’s no surprise he chose to cover King Tuff’s “Eyes of the Muse” from King Tuff’s 2014 release Black Moon Spell. Listen to Donnelly’s cover of it below.
