Free at Noon Flashback: Israel Nash performs a powerful set at World Cafe Live

Israel Nash came into the World Cafe Live this afternoon and plowed through an hour long set featuring songs from his newest release, Israel Nash’s Rain Plans. Songs from the show included “Woman at the Well”, “Rain Plans”, and “Mansions.”  The music was loud, soulful, and gave off a clear Neil Young-vibe — just like what Helen Leicht told us to expect at last week’s Free at Noon with Guster. The band’s music emphasized the vocal performance of Nash, along with the musicianship of lead guitar player Joey McClellan, who had a few phenomenal solos throughout the course of the set.
