Following the announcement of his first full-length in five years, Sufjan Stevens has released a tour schedule that brings him to Philadelphia on April 10th for a special performance at the Academy of Music. Tickets open to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30th, with a pre-sale taking place on Wednesday, January 28th.

Carrie & Lowell, out on March 31st on Asthmatic Kitty, is named for the Detroit native’s mother and stepfather and bumpers 2010’s The Age of Adz. Stevens wasn’t idle in the years since that effort though – he’s been working on a variety of multimedia projects including a soundtrack for the solar system comprised of hymns and called Planetarium, a “symphonic poem” for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway called The BQE and, most recently, composed and will perform the live score for a Brooklyn Academy of Music-commissioned film called ROUND-UP.
