Free At Noon Flashback: The Lone Bellow fill the room with enormous, brilliant harmonies
Celebrating WXPN’s 10 year anniversary of the Free At Noon concerts was an absolute blast today with Artist To Watch The Lone Bellow. After hopping on stage, the folk rock trio launched into an incredible, spot-on performance in front of an ultra packed World Cafe Live.
Belting out their three-part harmonies, members Kanene Pipkin, Zach Williams, and Brian Elmquist riled the crowd with their precise, unfaltering voices, melting them together to create their rich, full sound that has continued to garner attention nationwide.
Frontman Williams encouraged the audience to sing along acapella during their final song “Cold As It Is”, where he waved his arms in time, cuing the rest of the band to join back in. The energy was crystal clear and it didn’t take long before they skipped back onstage for an encore. Unable to decide on a song, Williams quipped “Well, we’re just going to stand up here and tune”, eventually deciding to take requests from the audience. Leaving the crowd hooting and hollering, The Lone Bellow proved themselves an up-and-coming talent with a long, bright future ahead of them.
