Lord Huron will return to Philly to Union Transfer on May 1st
The Los Angeles based band Lord Huron, fronted by Ben Schneider, returns to Philly on Friday, May 1st to Union Transfer. They release their sophomore album Strange Trails in April.
Before releasing their debut album, Lonesome Dreams in 2012, Lord Huron released several EP’s. Founded by Ben Schneider in his hometown of Okemos, Michigan, Schneider moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and formed Lord Huron as a solo project, slowly adding musicians to play live shows. With a background in visual arts, Schneider’s music has a dreamy, cinematic, and colorful flair, where guitars and percussion swirl. The band released a series of Western themed videos for songs from Lonesome Dreams. The new album, Strange Trails, follows some of the same themes (adventurousness, wandering, contemplation), and sounds as Lonesome Dreams. Recommended for fans of Fleet Foxes, Rick Nelson, and Clint Eastwoord spaghetti westerns. Below, download “The Night We Met,” a beautiful, tender love song. Tickets for Lord Huron’s show go on sale Friday, February 13th at noon. Opening the show in Philly is Hamilton Leithauser.
