Philly emcee Amir Richardson, known as The Bul Bey, released his debut album Shaking Hands and Kissing Babies this week via Illvibe Media.

Made up of 15 tracks of masterful lyricism and hip hop beats, the album was heard at a listening party Monday night at South Street’s P’s & Q’s.

Standout tracks include “Forward” (featuring Code 9) an electro/hip-hop hybrid with The Bul Bey’s powerful yet laid-back rap expertise at the forefront.

The jazzy “Where I’ve Been” follows the equally catchy and intentionally Philly-referece filled “Where I’m From” (with the official video here), showing that The Bul Bey knows where he’s from, where he’s been, and all in all, where he’s going.

Catch the album on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, etc.
