Philly native and soul singer-songwriter Aaron Parnell Brown (of Aaron and the Spell) recently released teasers of tracks from his upcoming album The Tin Man. You may have recently caught him on XPN for “Philly’s Local Pick of the Day.”

Brown’s latest offering is a downright impressive rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Golden Lady,” paying homage to one of his “all-time favorite songs.” The cover emphasizes the fact that Brown has the whole neo-soul thing down, while still deserving comparisons to the greats. After all, there’s a lot of hype surrounding his sophomoric album, considering 2012’s Sing helped him earn comparisons to soul masters like Otis Redding and Ben Harper. Listen to the cover below.
