Download Le Fits’ new Fisticuffs for free this week only

After celebrating the release of their new record Fisticuffs on Saturday night at Johnny Brenda’s, Le Fits are extending the party and hosting the LP as a free download on Bandcamp all week.

It’s the third record for the Philadelphia-via-California outfit, following up 2007’s Le Fits Sportif with eight songs that blend sunshine pop of the sixties with indie pop / rock of the early 2000s. “The Sea” incorporates some harmonica and slide-guitar twang, while “Down Simba” pulls in a horn section and “Sidewinder” sounds like a long-lost Elvis Costello hit. It’s a well-rounded record that keeps things quirky but not confusing.
