Chelsea Rivers new anthem “25 To Life” just dropped and it’s a hit
Philly R&B up and comer Chelsea Rivers released her video for the braggadocious and cleverly-titled “25 to Life” this week. Joined by RediRoc, who lent a hand by giving a quick 16 bars, Rivers delivers witty banter about how she’s too dope and sophisticated for anyone that opposes her.
“I apologize for making you feel insecure” she sings, aiding the analogy that she is killing the game and receiving the daunting penalty of 25 to Life. Although it’s a theme that many musicians in rap and R&B hit on, the certain bravado and confidence centered around this track seems to fit Rivers; she carries it out and makes it work, exploring a side of her not yet really heard. I approve.
Check out the video below and listen to the song on Soundcloud; the song will appear on Rivers’ third LP, Chelsea, due out later on this year.
