The inaugural Key Fest was a blast and here are our favorite photos from the weekend
It’s Tuesday and we’re still recovering from an incredible weekend at MilkBoy, where we had the pleasure of curating the first-ever Key Fest and bringing a cross-section of Philly music to the stage.
Thursday was the loud kickoff with fuzz-pop trio Hurry, power pop good ol’ boys Commonwealth Choir, piano-driven rockers Slingshot Dakota and punk favorites Cayetana; Friday, we went rootsy / Americana with singer-songwriter Dylan Jane, chamber-folk ensemble Rosu Lup and swaggery favorites The Lawsuits; Saturday it was a hip-hop / R&B dance party with rapper Tiani Victoria – including a surprise appearance by Roots crew affiliate Dice Raw – sound loop artist Jacqueline Constance, MC The Bul Bey (who was backed by the great DJ Phsh) and eclectic soul singer Brielle.
Massive thanks to all the performers – everybody’s set was awesome – and of course big thanks to MilkBoy for being such friendly and hospitable hosts. Below, check out an assortment of photos from the weekend by our contributor Rachel Del Sordo; we can’t wait to do this again.
