Philly pop-punk trio Thin Lips has released their debut EP for streaming. Divorce Year is a hearty mix of Chrissy Tashjian’s sincere vocals, fresh guitar riffs and the overall feeling of starting new.

Alongside other former Dangerous Ponies members (guitarist Kyle Pulley and her drummer brother, Mike Tashjian, of The Weaks), Chrissy Tashjian has channeled her feelings of “loves lost and abandonment,” and Thin Lips’ sound is all their own.

On the EP’s raw title track, Tashjian howls, “Turn off the lights and close the doors/I can’t stand you anymore.”

The trio will open for Hop Along at Union Transfer on May 9. Preorder the casette via Seagreen Records here.
