It’s official: the German electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk will be visiting Philadelphia come fall. The Electric Factory will host the influential four-piece for an October 2nd show that is sure to showcase its vibrant and influential personality.

For those of you that might not be up to speed on them, the Düsseldorf natives have continued a slow trickle of releases over the years since their original rise to fame the late 70s, including their popular albums The Man Machine and Trans-Europe Express. Equally as innovative as their music is their performance style, which continues to push the norm of live music from its performances with robots in the 70s, to projection-heavy festival sets and a recent series of special 3-D shows across Europe and at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

With their fall tour bringing Kraftwerk to Philadelphia, mark your calendars for this can’t-miss night of electronic eclecticism. Tickets for the October 2nd show go on sale this Friday, May 8th at 10 a.m. Find more information by heading over to the XPN Concert Calendar.
