Recap: Dr. Dog closes out day one of NonCOMM with a bang
It’s pretty fitting that Dr. Dog‘s current offering is a live album. For their set closing off day one of NonCOMM 2015, the Philly natives exhibited the tight, lively playing and charisma that’s earned them the rep as one of the best live bands in America right now. The performance featured the simmering slow burner “The Truth” from 2013’s B-Room, the rollicking “These Days” from 2012’s Be The Void, and their signature cover of Architecture in Helsinki’s “Heart It Races,” just to name a few. Singer-guitarist Scott McMicken joked towards the end of the main set that it was heavy on the songs he’s been writing lately about existential crises, but that’s fine, since they sounded great and were a ton of fun.Listen to their set in its entirety and check out a gallery of photos from the performance below!
