The annual Kensington Kinetic Sculpture and Arts Festival is right around the corner and with it comes an exciting array of music and art as well. Along with the festivities of the parade, the Kensington Community Development Corporation and East Kensington Neighbors Association have rounded up exciting performances from Philly musicians to be the backdrop of  the evening.

Levee Drivers, Air is Human, DRGN King, and the Rock of The Future Student Band will be an attendance; all names probably familiar to readers of The Key.

Levee Drivers’ old fashion country flare and DRGN King’s quirky indie rock are perfect for an event that exhibits both contemporary and modern designs. The eye-opening spectacle will also feature the at times mellow and spacey Air is Human, as well as student performers from the music and education after-school program Rock to the Future.

It’s a well-rounded experience: a three-mile obstacle runs that runs through Kensington and Fishtown, a parade, food, art, and a variety of music at everyone’s disposal. How could you not have a blast? Details for the event can be found on their Facebook page here; below, check out music from each of the performers.
