When Philly R&B four-piece Good Girl stopped by for a studio session with The Key back in March, they brought just the right sound, fitting to the title of their 2014 mixtape 90s Kind of Love: intimate R&B that was reminiscent of female vocal powerhouses of the 90s (like Destiny’s Child, TLC and Janet Jackson, as John Vettese mentioned).

Now the group is breaking into more recent turf by covering singer-songwriter K. Michelle’s “Hard To Do,” off of her 2014 album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?

Regardless of the undeniable performative dynamic the foursome has going on in the video, they completely harmonize on this track. And the ladies aren’t new to covers; this music video trails their release of the choreography cover of Rihanna’s “BBHMM.” It’s not every day that a group can sing just as flawlessly as they can dance, but Good Girl proves it’s possible. Check out their cover below.
