After rocking the Marina Stage so hard back in 2013 that they were moved up for a surprise set at the River Stage, Kopecky returned to the Marina for XPoNential 2015, this time with a whole new crop of songs to show off.

Coming off May’s Drug for the Modern Age, Kopecky started off with standout “My Love” from the new album. After hitting on a few tracks from their debut full length Kids Raising Kids, Gabe Simon and co. jumped into album single “Quarterback”, which was naturally preceeded by an Eagles chant.

Easily the most interesting part of the set came when Kopecky covered The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” actually sticking relatively true to the original. From there Kopecky performed a few DFTMA songs including their latest single “Talk To Me”. They followed with fan favorite “Heartbeat” from their debut, before closing things out with a final jam – their trademark cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk.”

Kopecky’s set was a precursor to the evening sets, and what a way to carry us into them! Stay tuned, we still have plenty of great music to get to.
