Download a new song by the Cambridge indie-folk band Darlingside
The Cambridge, MA based quartet Darlingside do the Laurel Canyon singer-songwriter thing and the vibey indie folk thing really well. They’re about to release their second album, Birds Say, (on September 18th) and with good fortune they won’t be a secret much longer to music fans.
The band – Don Mitchell, Auyon Mukharji, Harris Paseltiner, and David Senft – met as undergrads at Williams College in Massacheusetts. They released an EP in 2010, their full length debut, Pilot Machines, in 2012, and last year released an EP with singer-songwriter Heather Maloney. On Birds Say, Darlingside continue to evolve their nuanced acoustic sound with fuller production as showcased by new songs like “Harrison Ford,” and “White Horses.”
Darlingside are currently on tour, and in the Fall will open several dates for Patty Griffin. You can see them live at the Keswick Theatre on Wednesday, October 7th.
