PREMIERE: OhBree have fun in new video for “Salt”
How many ways can you be weird in front of a white wall? Art rockers OhBree search for the answer in the new video for “Salt,” taken from their 2014 LP Death by Broomstick.
The band is gearing up for the vinyl release of Broomstick later this month, happening on August 27th at PhilaMOCA with Dead Tenors, Ganou and Upholstery.
“Salt” has the irreverence of mid-00s indie rock (think They Might Be Giants) with an off-kilter psych rock layer that is just a lot of fun. And the video is equally fun: OhBree band members stand in front of a wall while eggs are smashed on their heads, paint is smeared on their faces and ukeleles are splintered over knees. The whistling interludes in the song are totally endearing, even when the song takes on a darker tone halfway through.
