Though it saddens us to hear of The Kalob Griffin Band‘s recent breakup, we still have lots to be positive about — including the band’s Cover Club session with Root Down in the Shadow. They chose Jim Croce’s “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown”, complete with a horn section and jazzy pianos. The KGB make a song about a brutal bar fight sound like a happy-go-lucky walk in the park in the best way possible. Listen to the session below, and be sure to catch the band’s last Philly show at The Trocadero this Friday, August 21st.
