Philly psychedelic guitarist Chris Forsyth first worked with Koen Holtkamp on 2012’s Early Astral album, and they are back again, this time with the forthcoming collaboration The Island. Where their previous collaboration was harder and heavier, the first single from the new one, “Long Beach Idyll,” is a beautiful spacewalk. Forsyth told Tiny Mix Tapes that time spent down the Jersey Shore inspired the rhythm and flow of the song, with ocean waves echoing in the waves of sound across the five and a half minute cut that feels like a dream sequence. Serene in every aspect of the word, listen to “Long Beach Idyll” here, via Tiny Mix Tapes.
