F.O.D and The Dead Milkmen via srarecords.com

The Dead Milkmen and Flag of Democracy (F.O.D.) have been staples of the Philadelphia punk-rock scene since the early ‘80s. The two bands have a combined 60 years and 18 studio albums of experience between them and now they are officially joining forces for a new split 7″.

Since the two are such old friends, they said they tried to make the album sound as retro as possible, reaching back to their roots when they first got started here in Philly. The band’s went as far as to play a prank by telling fans that the “7 was actually recorded back in 1985 and just now resurfaced.

Though that would have been amazing if it were true, there is plenty to be excited about regardless. Both bands continue to showcase the no-holds-barred punk rock that has made them Philly punk legends. Get  a taste of what to expect on the record via the single stream over at Brooklyn Vegan.
