The Ghost In You channels heartache into the haunting “Fear the Fall”

Though Billy Polard is an acoustically-driven singer-songwriter, his project The Ghost In You is far from easy listening. Polard packs his short songs with as much emotion as possible, leaving the listener with a distinct idea of the troubled thoughts he sometimes finds himself contemplating.

Earlier this month Polard released yet another harrowing single, “Fear the Fall” — it’s a love song, or rather a post-love song filled with heartache, and you can check it out below. It features quick guitar strumming overlaid with haunting and sometimes dissonant synthesizers, all the while accompanied by Polard’s usual thoughtful lyricism.
