Watch Kurt Vile play “Pretty Pimpin'” and “Wild Imagination” on Conan

Mega happy record release day wishes are due to Philadelphia’s Kurt Vile, whose terrific new record b’lieve i’m goin down is in stores today. In the early morning hours, Vile and his band – which now features Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint on drums – performed a roaring rendition of “Pretty Pimpin'” on Conan O’Brien; check out video below.

In a more informal setting backstage, Vile and Mozgawa also played an acoustic rendition of “Wild Imagination.”

Kurt and the band kick off their U.S. tour next Friday, October 2nd in Boston, and will wind through Philly the following Friday, October 9th to headline a sold-out gig at Union Transfer. A full schedule of dates can be found here.
