The Eagles season may be a disappointment thus far but it’s not because fans weren’t pumped for each game – thanks in large part to Philly-rapper and official Eagles tailgate DJ, Lushlife.  While the Birds have been less than exciting, one thing that we can get pumped for is the release of Lushlife’s first album in three years.

Today the lyrically gifted rapper and ambitious producer announced, via Pitchfork, that his third full-length record, Ritualize, will come out February 19 of next year. This time around, Raj Haldar — the man behind Lushlife — enlisted some help on the production side from Philadelphia production trio, CSLSX.

Along with the album announcement, Lushlife has shared the first single off of Ritualize, “Body Double,” premiered on Ezra Koenig’s Beats1 Radio show. The track starts with a slow-building, melodic beat before Haldar comes in to lay down some his quintessential heady lyrics and unique production flourishes.
