“When you use a synth pad called ‘Just Horrible,’ you know you’re in for a good time,” Ryan Weidman tells me. This pretty well sums up “Silhouettes,” the latest (and most seasonally-connected) track in his band Sonnder‘s single-a-month project. It’s got Halloween written all over it, with ominous soundscapes and sweeping and cathartic arrangements – as well as some killer riffage that reminds me of Jimmy Eat World’s clarity.
