Spotify Sessions are nothing new; artists have been recording intimate sessions with the music streaming service for the past two years. Yet it’s still exciting when a local favorite gets picked to perform, and his week, Spotify released its session with Philly favorite Kurt Vile. The playlist features the five songs that were recorded at the session – two new ones, plus back catalog tracks including “Goldtone” and “Girl Called Alex” – along with a stream of Vile’s most recent release b’lieve i’m going down. Matador Records held a contest for fans to submit artwork for the playlist image, and the winner was created by Travis Millard. Listen to the playlist below.
