The Menzingers to play special holiday show in Scranton, featuring Tigers Jaw, Petal, and more
Beloved Scranton four-piece group The Menzingers have announced their fifth-annual “Holiday Show,” which is to be performed at the Scranton Cultural Center on December 19th. The concert features a formidable lineup of the region’s best and brightest punk bands, including Tigers Jaw, Captain We’re Sinking, The Sw!ms, Three Man Cannon, and Petal.
Scranton has been the launching ground for a number of groups that have since made waves in the Philadelphia punk scene, and the show is a great opportunity to check out some of the city’s leading artists, both established and up-and-coming.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Arts Alive, a program that promotes music and the arts for children from grades 2 to 12. The Menzingers’ Tom May explained the importance of the program, nothing, “Our lives revolve around our music and the arts. We want to give back to the area where we came up, the area that continues to shape and inspire us to this day.”
Tickets to the all-ages show will cost you $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. You can grab them here.
