Drive into Philly 800x faster than usual in Brian Flanagan’s “For So Long” video

We at XPN obviously have a soft spot in our collective hearts for a Philly-centric video from a Philly-based band, so when we come across a video like “For So Long” from local songwriter Brian Flanagan, you can bet we’ll take notice.

The video — which you can watch below — takes you on a trip into Philadelphia via some very familiar routes — Lincoln Drive, Martin Luther King Boulevard and I-76 — all while traveling way quicker than you ever could on these usually congested roads. The track, “For So Long”, which comes off Flanagan’s newest LP Every Day Is a Brand New Start, feels nearly as familiar as the shots in the video, with a hook that draws you in and a tempo that match perfectly with the sped up visuals.

Flanagan and the band are set to play a record release show for Every Day Is a Brand New Start this Friday, November 20 at Tin Angel. You can hear the album now in it’s entirety below.
