Hershey, PA was put on the musical map back in 1989 thanks to the indie pop songs of The Ocean Blue. Still in high school when they signed their first deal with Sire Records, the four-piece went on to release several widely acclaimed albums including Cerulean and their self-titled debut – both of which the band will perform tonight at World Cafe Live.

After taking a few years off following the release of 2013’s Ultramarine, The Ocean Blue are currently working on a new album (set for release next year) and digging through their back catalog of unreleased songs. The latter gives us “City Traffic” today, originally recorded for the 1994 film Naked in New York but never used. It’s like a time capsule that takes us back to the band’s heyday, rife with bright melodies and their classic almost-British sound.

Listen to “City Traffic” below and pick up tickets for tonight’s (almost sold out!) show here.
