If you haven’t noticed, Philly’s premiere do-it-yourselfer Alex G. has been on a bit of a run as of late. That run continues with the the release of his understated new video for the song “Brite Boy” from this year’s Beach Music.

The Elliot Bech-directed video (which you can check out below) takes a bare approach, showing the trippy odyssey of two foxes in what looks like simple pen-on-paper illustration. The existential journey matches perfectly with the relatively spare nature of the song, which intersperses Alex G’s vocals with those of what sounds like a young boy (likely just Alex himself using some clever vocal tricks).

Alex G. just played a sold-out show at the First Unitarian Church which served as a release party for Beach Music and will be stopping by Union Transfer next April. Tickets and information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
