The prolific Ross Bellenoit is at it again with preview for Invisible Voice
Ross Bellenoit has been kicking around the Philly scene for a few years now and is beginning to truly establish himself as a musician whose musical output is as varied as it is prolific. Just last week, Bellenoit released a three-song preview of his newest album, Invisible Voice, which will be his third album since the year began.
The preview, which you can check out below via Bellenoit’s bandcamp page, gives you a pretty solid idea of what to expect on Invisible Voice. The opener, “I’m Already Saying Goodbye” is tight country-tinged rock song, that would seem like the album’s obvious single if it wasn’t for “Bad Year”, the immediately catchy second track. This one rolls along effortlessly, tracking a year of disappointments all with a hope of a newer and better future — a sentiment we can all associate with this time of year. Bellenoit has garnered comparisons to acts like Elvis Costello — I mean, he did perform Blood & Chocolate at Milkboy a few years ago — much of Invisible Voice is remniscient of fellow locals Good Old War, with their style of understated folk.
You can check out the Invisible Voice preview below and catch Bellenoit live at Bourbon and Branch for the record’s official release show on Saturday, December 5.
