Start 2016 off right with Creepoid, The Spirit of the Beehive, Dead Heavens, and more at Everybody Hits
For a while, the New Years Eve concert scene in Philly was looking a bit bleak. There was one big name — A Sunny Day in Glasgow performing at Johnny Brenda’s — but that was about it. Fortunately, as 2015 winds to a close, more and more shows are starting to trickle onto our radar. Yesterday we announced that Nothing will be playing at Boot & Saddle, and today we bring you even more good news: Punk favorites Creepoid, who released their new album Cemetery Highrise Slum back in June. They are headlining a stacked lineup at Everybody Hits for only $10.
Aside from the novelty of seeing a concert a batting cage (seriously, what’s more Philly than baseball and punk?), the show is sure to be an onslaught of noise and energy that will ring in 2016 in style. Five other bands will be supporting Creepoid, including local atmospheric shoegazers The Spirit of the Beehive, and grungy New York four-piece Dead Heavens. Rounding off the night’s lineup will be the Massachusetts hardcore group Aviator, along with locals Shannen Moser and Loud House.
6 bands for 10 bucks? It even equals 16. Clearly it’s meant to be. You can get tickets to the show here.
