Philly rock four-piece Littler is a name you should get to know in 2016. The band is releasing its Of Wandering on Birdtapes on March 25th, and have been teasing it with single releases since the fall.

The band played for the first time at the First Time’s The Charm event at PhilaMOCA back in November of 2014 (more about that here) and has since put out an impressive array of tracks and demos on its Bandcamp page, from a righteous cover of Harvey Danger’s “Flagpole Sitta” to music from the new record, recorded and mixed last summer with Kyle Gilbride of Wherever Audio (and Swearin’).

The new “Slippery” feels about right today, for obvious weather-related reasons, but also because its chugging Superchunk-y guitar tones and Throwing Muses-ish vocal melodies feel good in the headphones while trudging through snow-packed streets. Give the song a listen below, and see the band live at Pi Lam on Friday, January 29th; more information here.
