The Districts released a beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Lover Lover Lover”
This will give you the feels on a Monday morning. Philly rockers The Districts, apropos of nothing, released a moving cover of “Lover Lover Lover” by Leonard Cohen, from his 1974 album New Skin for the Old Ceremony.
In its original form, the song is a swinging and cinematic bit of European folk-pop vaguely reminiscent of Serge Gainsbourg. The Districts, of course, District-i-fied it with a dynamic rise and fall from an aching open to an explosive fireworks finale of loud guitars and powerful rhythms.
