Purling Hiss don’t mind on new “My, My, My” from “Something” EP
Fuzz rock prophets Purling Hiss have shared a new track from their upcoming Something EP, “My, My, My.”
The Philly band, usually known for their lo-fi brand of messy garage rock similar to Ty Segall, have spun their sound in the direction of 60’s bands such as The Byrds or The Hollies while still retaining their own style. The song also shows similarities to 90’s indie rock bands such as Yo La Tengo as well with its wild and crunchy yet catchy guitar riffs.
Purling Hiss’s Something EP is out February 19th on Famous Class. They previously released “Fumble Tumble” from the EP last month. Their most recent releases were 2014’s Weirdon and 2015’s the Meandering Noodle EP.
