Philly newcomers My Home Is The Sea have released their first single, “Do As Your Told.”

The track features soaring, siren-like vocals provided by Natalie Wimberg and production from Marc Neibauer. According to Paste, the song came about from a mutual appreciation of Smog and Bill Callahan, which also inspired the group’s name.

MHITS’s “Do As Your Told” slowly progresses from a smooth atmospheric trickle to something much more apocalyptic. Chugging guitars interplay with electronic shoegaze beats to create a harmonic, motherly embrace.
