Mock Suns rejoice and rewind on “Here From Your Rooftop”
Philly stargazers Mock Suns have shared the latest track from their upcoming album Stay True, “Here From Your Rooftop.”
Mock Suns have already shared videos for Stay True tracks “Friday Night” and “Nothing Good Comes About Being Out At This Hour.” Like these songs, “Here From Your Rooftop” continues in the direction of themes such as nostalgia and teenage remembrance.
On “Rooftop”, Mock Suns’ simple instrumentation creates a child-like aura around the music while still presenting psychedelic textures. With slick guitar solos and drifting bass lines, the band carries singer Greg Puglese’s honest and floating vocals while undercover of darkness.
The band has two upcoming Philly dates: Johnny Brenda’s on March 19th with Weekender, Sun Hat, and Laser Background, and Kung Fu Necktie on April 4th with Sound of Ceres and Pick A Piper.
Stay True, the band’s second album, is out March 8th on Good Behavior Records.
