Cold Fronts announce tour, share “Energy Waster” video
Philly indie rockers Cold Fronts recently released their debut record Forever Whatever last October, and they just shared their tour-centric video for the energetic “Energy Waster.”
The band, fronted by vocalist/guitarist Craig Almquist, is currently down in Austin to play SXSW (which is where Almquist was discovered by Sire Records’ Seymour Stein in 2012). Their fast-paced power pop is highlighted on “Energy Waster” with its harmonized guitars and exuberant lyrics.
The video for “Energy Waster” shows the band at their various tour stops, doing everything from riding those fire-starting “hoverboards” to hanging out in their van to eating in diners to channeling their inner Flavor Flav’s. It also shows the band performing all over the US with Almquist eventually just falling straight through the drum kit. Rock and roll.
After SXSW, the band will be opening a run of dates with Australian punks DMA’s until the end of March. In April they will be opening for the shirtless R&B singer Har Mar Superstar before returning to Philly, where they will hopefully be playing soon.
