With a catalog of four full-lengths already to their name, Tokyo Police Club have decided to do things a little differently for awhile. The Toronto band is following up 2014’s Forcefield with a series of EPs, beginning with next month’s Melon Collie and the Infinite Radness (Part 1).
They shared a summery new track called “PCH” with the AV Club this week, a song inspired by a longing for warmer days written while frontman David Monk was in Malibu. Bright synths sparkle between lyrics about blasting music and a general feeling of new found freedom.
The band plays Union Transfer on April 19th; tickets and information are available here. Listen to “PCH” below.
