Calling all Philly musicians: Bowerbird Music, the local organization devoted to experimental music in unconventional settings, has announced the open call for the Summer 2016 installment of their Double Decker Music Series.
For those not familiar with Bowerbird’s DDMS, the series showcases an eclectic array of artists performing on the open-air roof of a double decker tour bus to provide a “unique, intimate mobile concert experience” throughout the course of the summer. The performance will also be paired with a guided tour of Philadelphia’s attractions by series curator Sebastian Petsu. Pretty cool, eh?
Applications to perform in Bowerbird’s DDMS are due April 6th by 11:59 p.m. According to the organization, the application’s are “super simple” because they “want to hear from anyone and everyone interested in the event.” For more information, photos/videos from previous performances, and the application to perform for Bowerbird’s Double Decker Music Series, follow the link here.
