On tour in support of their newest album, the Kansas roots band Moreland & Arbuckle made a stop in Philadelphia, packing in a large crowd at World Cafe Live on this rainy afternoon. The bluesy band’s new album, Promised Land Or Bust, officially dropped today.
These rockers started off their set with “Mean and Evil”; lead vocalist, Dustin Arbuckle, got into the groove starting from the first note that came out of his harmonica. He was joined by guitarist Aaron Moreland, and the two fed off of each other’s and the crowd’s energy throughout their set as they both rocked out on stage.

The band followed up “Mean and Evil” with an old favorite, “Tall Boogie,” though the rest of their set focused on songs from the new album. Drummer Kendall Newby kept the beat rolling the whole set, keeping the crowd, Dustin, and Aaron on the same note.
Moreland & Arbuckle finished up their set with “When the Lights Are Burning Low”, another song off Promised Land Or Bust. The band are continuing their album release tour for the next week, playing in surrounding states like New York and Delaware, and ending the mini tour in Tennessee; they play the Sellersville Theater on Sunday night, and more information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. These guys aren’t a band you want to miss! Listen back to their Free at Noon performance below and check out a gallery of photo from the show.
