Philadelphia Eagle Connor Barwin talks about his Make The World Better benefit concert with WXPN’s Dan Reed
Connor Barwin, the Philadelphia Eagles defensive player, recently stopped by WXPN to talk with XPN’s afternoon host Dan Reed about Barwin’s 3rd annual Make The World Better benefit concert on Friday, June 3rd at Union Transfer. The show is an all-Philly bill including Hop Along, Waxahatchee, and a surprise special guest.
Connor’s Make The World Better foundation is a non-profit that raises money to renovate public spaces, and over the last two years close to $500,000 has been raised for both Ralph Brooks Park and Smith Playground. Every dollar from this year’s concert (both bar and ticket sales) will be matched by Connor’s foundation and donated to a project in Philadelphia which will be announced at the concert. This year’s concert, once again, features a stellar lineup including Hop Along and Waxahatchee. There will also be a special guest. Past performers have included Kurt Vile, The Districts, The Suffers, Marian Hill, Parquet Courts, and Mac DeMarco.
Listen below to Connor’s conversation with Dan Reed about the foundation, as well as a Barwin’s thoughts on the Eagles upcoming (nad past) season.
Tickets to this years benefit concert can be found here.
