Leon Bridges to play Wawa Welcome America! on July 4th

On the heels of the Roots Picnic just a couple weeks ago, R&B singer Leon Bridges will make his next Philly appearance at Wawa Welcome America! on July 4th. The party on the parkway will include performances from Philly’s Latin vocal group Viva Mas.

The July 4th celebration will also feature the Tony-award winning Leslie Odom Jr of Hamilton, Empire’s Yazz the Greatest, the Philly POPS, and a special celebration of the Sound of Philadelphia for Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff featuring legendary Philly hit-makers The O’Jays, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes and The Intruders backed by The Sounds of Philadelphia Orchestra. In between sets, the legendary Biz Markie will be DJ’ing and he’ll also be a part of a free Noon time event at Eakins Oval, featuring Kidz Bop Kids Live.
