WXPN has launched a musical #ThrowbackThursday summer series, and every Thursday in June, July, and August, WXPN has been traveling back to a special year, a genre, or musical movement. This week we put the spotlight on the year 1976. One of the greatest years in music, 1976 was saw the release of some of the most notable classic albums including The Eagles Hotel California, Peter Frampton’s Frampton Comes Alive, Songs In The Key of Life by Stevie Wonder, Station To Station by David Bowie, The Ramones self-titled debut, the debut album by Heart, Dreamboat Annie, Small Change by Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell’s astounding Hejira, and more.
