Listen to Dull Knives bring the noise on Self Audit, catch them at Underground Arts on 7/12
Local hardcore outfit Dull Knives released a new EP earlier this year, and we’d be letting you all down if we didn’t ensure it’s on your radar. Self Audit follows up the band’s debut from last year, Other People’s Lives, and was recorded right here in Philly with Brad Wallace of Hells.
Self Audit isn’t very long — just about 11 minutes once you add up the five songs — but these 11 minutes are a real workout. With Larry Wiechecki roaring on vocals and Jude Miller (guitar), Steve Traenkner (guitar), Nick Fasca (bass) and Kenny Madden (drums) providing the noise, these guys can straight up bring it. And even though the band is nearly two years old, most of the guys have longtime chemistry. Some of them have been playing together for the better part of a decade in Anurysm Rats and Quiet Arcs. We’ve dropped the new EP down below for you to take a listen.
Catch Dull Knives in the flesh when they join Heavy Temple in opening up for Valiant Thorr at Underground Arts on Tuesday, July 12th. It’s a safe bet that the roof will be blown off that night. For tickets to the 21+ show, head over to the XPN Concert Calendar.
