They say the grass is always greener on the other side, but with today’s release of the new Year of Glad EP I Don’t Know Where I Am Either, we think we have it pretty good right here. Coming out via Lame-O Records, the band is also premiering the music video for the song “Grass,” a home movie of sorts documenting life on the road — from sleeping on couches and ripping gigs to exploring strange gift shops and making a home cooked meal.

The song itself is simple and fun, with a heavy feel of Green Day’s early bass happy tracks (cue the breakdown in “Chump”). “Grass” recounts a phone conversation with someone who doesn’t see things in the same light, before frontwoman Mimi Gallagher dives into the chorus of “the grass is back to green, do you feel it?”

The band teased about the bare bones video, saying:

“The budget for this video was astronomical. We had to put together a full tour, promise the members of Dogs On Acid / Jade Tree Records points on the back end (as well as hefty upfront costs for each member’s terrifying “life” choices) and we all went through multiple divorces during the month-long filming process. Hopefully, our art / pain is all there on the screen.”
