Univox’s Josh Jones and bandmates take part in new Ghost Vines video “Fire”
When Montreal garage rockers Ghost Vines needed a videographer to film a clip for their new song “Fire,” they tapped Philly’s Josh Jones to take on the task. Jones, in turn, tapped some of his former Univox bandmates to be actors in the narrative, turning the whole thing into a cool kind of reunion for the DIY power pop outfit.
Opening with the arrival of a pizza delivery guy (played by Univox drummer Kent Boersma), the situation in the video quickly turns from an average Friday night party to a frenzied dream sequence. Boersma catches the eye of a red head in the corner, who turns into the antagonist of his paranoid nightmare as Ghost Vines’ fast-rolling, 60s-tinged song plays on.
